It's not often we give our weekly accolade to a DS game, but here's that rare thing: a DS game not aimed at the under-8s. And, even rarer, here's a Loaded recommendation that doesn't involve explosions and violence. Hotel Dusk is a detective mystery that unravels like a classic noir novel, and has graphics like that Aha video from the '80s, if your mind is as old as ours. Turning the DS sideways like a small book, and using your stylus like a, well, pen, you interact with the characters in a dusty, Midwest motel trying to piece together its intriguing storyline. It's not fast, not even immediate, but give it a go – particularly if you're captive on a long-haul flight or summat. Also, it'll take your mind off all that endless killing.
