'Terrorists, terrorize THIS!'. Yup, Sony's popular military shooter series is back, with different games on the PSP (Fire Team Bravo) and PS2 (Combined Assault). If you're in the mood for a bit of Chris Ryan-style SAS heroism, either or both of these will tickle your Bravo Two Zeroes.

In Fireteam Bravo, you take the role of 'Sandman', a Navy Seal who is sent to fight the war on terror with his partner 'Lonestar' (sounds brilliantly clichéd already, don't it?). This takes you to South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. The gameplay is as you've seen before with the likes of Rainbow Six, except it's just a two-man squad you have to worry about.

In Combined Assault on the PS2, you've got a four-man team, and this time you're killing terrorists in the fictional country of Ajikistan. The graphics are obviously a little smoother on the PS2 version, but if like us you prefer simplicity, it's probably the PSP version you should go for. Either way, SOCOM's addictive terror-fighting gameplay means you might want to avoid human contact and 'go dark' for a few days.
