Spidey's back, in the game tie-in of the huge new Spider-Man 3 movie. Luckily for gamers, where the movie is let down by shite acting and too much Dawson's Creek style teen drama, the game allows you just to get stuck into the action and you don't have to worry unduly about the plot. So, getting down to business: this is the best Spidey game so far, as you'd expect, and it's massive, too. Obviously the movie's plot is at the centre of the game, but you can do so much more besides, giving the feel of a proper 'sandbox' game (free-roaming, a la GTA etc), with loads of other missions and lots of different ways of playing through the game. The graphics are lovely, the combat system top-notch and the gameplay fluid and fun. Your Spidey builds up his speed, strength and other abilities as he progresses, and you even get to play dark Spider-Man too. A must for Spider-fans and a decent prospect for anyone who appreciates a good arcade-adventure romp too. It's also on PS3 and PS2.
