Next gen chop-socky thrills
Virtua Fighter 5
- PC & Console
- £39.99
- Released: 16/04/07
Now on its fifth incarnation (Sega's Virtua Fighter was the first proper 3D arcade fighter), the latest in the chop-socky series is a beauty. The graphics, as you'd expect from the PS3, are incredible - both in the look and movement of its scrappers and the backdrops. All the usual features and modes are present, in a genre that by now we're all too familiar with. And that's the only downside. If you love fighting games, you'll be bowled over - if not, don't expect to be converted. The only new feature is VT's 'personalization' mode that lets you change your players... boots. Erm... still, it's undoubted quality and since we love beating each other up at Loaded, we love this too.
